On 2005 when Kelsey Hawkes was 15 in high school she began dating 16 year-old Jared Lee Louhner, while Kelsey described him as a a very sweet, caring, gentle, kind a little quiet but over all s great guy. She also was questioned about what she perceived from her former in-law, to this Kelsey said they were great, his mother a very sweet lady kind and thoughtful, as for his father, he was very kind to her too she said.

In her own words she said she never saw any kind of violent behavior in the years they dated, the Jared she met is a completely man from the man the world sees right now, after she broke up with him they grew apart but Kelsey continued to hear things about Jared from friends they had in common.
